Become a Moderator

Community Safety Network UK relies on volunteer moderators to help review submissions and keep published records accurate and current. This is a community awareness role, not an investigative one.

What moderators help with

  • Review submitted cases against reputable public sources
  • Check names, offences, sentences, dates and photographs
  • Identify duplicates or outdated records
  • Flag information needing correction
  • Help keep the platform current

What moderators do not do

  • Investigate individuals
  • Contact people featured on the platform
  • Approach offenders
  • Carry out enforcement or vigilantism

Suitability

You do not need specialist technical experience. Moderators should be careful, impartial, comfortable checking reputable source material and committed to accuracy and responsible use of the platform. Guidance will be provided to help volunteers review information consistently and safely.
