Summary

Raymond Williams, 61, has been found guilty of the murder of his wife, Tania Williams, following a trial at Norwich Crown Court. The court heard that Williams attacked the victim with a craft knife outside her home in Thorpe St Andrew shortly before midnight on 17 January 2026.

Evidence presented during the trial included blood found in the defendant's car and the discovery of packaging for a craft knife near his address in Dereham Road. The jury heard that Williams had been lying in wait for the victim after she returned from a night out. Although Williams denied the charge of murder, the jury reached a unanimous guilty verdict after three hours of deliberation.

Williams is currently awaiting his sentencing hearing, which is scheduled for next month.
