Summary

On 1 September 2026, Amardip ‘Amo’ Dhariwal was found guilty of one count of sexual assault by penetration following a nine-day trial at Reading Crown Court. The jury reached a unanimous verdict regarding the offence, which occurred in May 2022 when Dhariwal sexually touched a colleague without her consent while she was asleep at his home in Bracknell.

Additional charges involving two other complainants, which alleged rape and sexual assault by penetration in Singapore and Malaysia, were discontinued by the Crown Prosecution Service due to a lack of jurisdiction. However, evidence provided by these women was heard during the trial as bad character evidence regarding the defendant's propensity to commit such offences.

Dhariwal is currently released on conditional court bail and is due to be sentenced at Reading Crown Court on 29 October 2026.
