Clint Gilbert

Clint Gilbert, aged 21, was sentenced to 18 years in prison on 29 July 2015 for a series of child sex offences. Gilbert pleaded guilty to 14 charges in total, which included nine counts of sexual assault against five young children and five charges relating to the possession and distribution of indecent images.

Investigations revealed that Gilbert had groomed families in Bedford to gain unsupervised access to their children. He sexually assaulted the victims and shared images of them online over a two-year period. The investigation was initiated after files shared by Gilbert were discovered during a separate police inquiry.

In addition to his custodial sentence, Gilbert is subject to requirements to be placed on the Sex Offenders' Register.
